Product Information
Monopoly for the PlayStation introduces a whole new generation to the classic board game. The object of the game is simple: bankrupt your opponents. The gameplay calls for you to roll the dice and circle the board, buy or trade properties, build houses and hotels, and charge rent when your opponents happen to land on them. The more expensive properties are more desirable, as the rent is proportionately higher. You must also avoid the long arm of the law and jail time, which causes you to lose a turn and potential profit. From the look of the board itself, to the wheelbarrow, race car, and dog used as pieces, to the color of the deeds, every detail is accounted for in the PlayStation version. Better than pieces everywhere!
Decided to buy this as did not want the actual boxed game remembering as a kid the pieces and money for it could be found all over our house. As an older game play the graphics are not the best especially with my large screen television. But as the boxed game, it just as fun. Great port to a great Monopoly game, nice throwback to the 1995 PC version
This Monopoly game has the same style as the 1995 version on the PC by Westwood, it has nice music, quick gameplay with nice animations and effects and is fast-paced and doesn't "slow" down at any point.
