Tried and trusted SanDisk, it does what it says on the tin, to coin a phrase.

Buy the best Memory card on the market, in my view!! Go for the extreme Pro version for fast Mega bits per second to cut down on the waiting time for your camera to store the picture or video. Especially if you are using the raw setting. There is nothing worse than missing a shot because your camera is still writing the information from the picture it took. Equally you want a good read speed. So take notes of the read and write speed of a chosen card especially if you are going to shoot sports or air displays or Wildlife. Not so important for a family portrait or Landscape and look at the Class setting. Class 10 is a good rating. Take a look at Wikipedia and Type in class settings for Sd cards. There is a good article explaining it all. Finally check that your camera can cope with the size of your planned card, it is no good you buying a 128gb or a 1TB card just because you want a massive amount of memory only to find the maximum card for your camera is 32gb or 64gb which can be the case on older cameras. Then get yourself an otg lead, on the go lead, put your memory card in it and transfer to your phone, if your camera doesn't have WiFi.

    "Misleading"

Tested with appropriate software, the card gave out speeds of 17/14 (read/write), nowhere near the 40 MB/s needed for HD video, let alone 80MB/s claimed. Useless. Reverting to a genuine SDHC card, costing £30, video quality was restored.

  • Fast and reliable.

It is said you get what you pay for and this seems to be the case with this class 10 Sandisk card. Currently being used in a Raspberry Pi it is much faster that a class 4 card running in another Pi. It is also much quicker when copying a disk image to the card on a Windows PC. Reading and writing has been reliable. Raspberry Pis have a tendency to corrupt cards with unintentional power loss. This resilience has not been fully tested as yet.

  • Remarkable value

It makes you wonder why prices can be so drastically varied for items of this kind. No one should ever have to pay unreasonable prices for anything - someone is merely profiteering under the guise of being more "elegant" and technically well-informed, easier to deal with, based in pleasanter premises. Packaging has a lot to do with it - why objects like little sd cards have to be locked into an impenetrable celluloid bubble that requires brute strength with heavy gardening scissors to free it is a flaming mystery!

  • Does what it says on the tin

Popped it in, formatted it and was up and recording within a few minutes. Pretty damn impressive really. Lots of cards need tweeking to get them to comply with what you need them for.... not this as it got to work immediately - recording high quality photographic images and footage as required. Would definitely recommend this product so far...........will see how it fairs as time goes on. Sometimes this kind of product is not as hardy as it needs to be when taken in and out of devices. I'm hoping it continues to surprise me. So far - excellent.
