Great modern take on an old tool
This tool is the lightest, toughest utility device for managing both cut wood and longer, heavier sections without bending. Spiders no longer a big deal and log rolling is eay with the added leverage and grippers on the heel of the tool. Great in the hand and so very light and easy without bending even in seasoned/aged ironbark. Durable, functional protective covers make it just that much safer to carry and store as they do have a sharp point but as mentioned they are useful for log rolling too. Light weight arm extension, easy to use, a tool for life. You need to use it to appreciate it’s value in the wooding process. Works well in softer woods but you need to experience how to use on the harder woods - only experience will give you this. Placing the hook into 5 ft logs on my trailer was easy, dragging them off the trailer was less stressful on my back, the hand grip gave me confidence that everything was secure in both the hook and handle. A well made good light weight unit an aset to any firewood getters equipment.
A good light weight well balanced unit. It struggles a bit on hardwood but persistence with end strikes usually get a stick. Certainly saves my back even just raking timber around to new position it is great. Would be more useful on soft wood but we burn hard wood in Aust. Must have tool for people splitting firewood
If you cut and split firewood, you need one of these. Makes is much easier to move those big rounds to the splitter than trying to get your hands underneath. Lightweight, nicely balanced.
