    Great unit

    Searched google and eBay for a decently reviewed high wattage step down transformer to use with US garden power tools that can't seem to get in australia. Ordered this unit based on price and good reviewed. Not disappointed. It's a heavy solid unit. The power breaker / switch is nice. The unit worked perfectly with a USA 13amp electric lawn scarifier . Didn't overhear. No noise either except the traditional thud when turning on (which is normal and expected) Great unit and great value!

    Fried our xbox

    Is a lot lighter than any of the other step down converters we have and runs very quietly, but unfortunately the first thing we plugged into it got fried and we haven't dared to use it since. This is our third Step Down converter and we are pretty familiar with using them. The xbox had previously been plugged in to a Proflex PRT2000 and never had a problem.

    Very quiet

    I had another transformer which broke after 3 years. It had a buzzing noise when using. But this product I recently purchased is really quiet and like the colour in white! Its very heavy tho!

    Quietly Working

    I needed a transformer to use with my 1800Watts Dewalt Table Saw from the U.S. (less than half the price for one in Aussie) that will not be costly and yet deliver the wattage. So far it works quietly with no problems. I have other smaller transformers and they're always making noise. Simply does what I need it to do I hope it stays that way.
