The Big Sky
Great tale that conjures up what may have been a typical story of how many mountain men found themselves exploring the Northwest. It presents this part of our history well enough with characters you can get absorbed with without liking them or feeling the need to judge them either. There are two other books that together make up something of a series and continue the tale of some of the main characters. I had the opportunity to attend a book signing by A.B. Guthrie, Jr., where signed a copy of The Big Sky for me. This book is an authentic representation of the place and time in Montana.
