Crystal Dynamics' Lara Croft reboot continues as players join the famed adventurer's quest to discover the secret of immortality in Rise of the Tomb Raider. With her exploits in 2013's Tomb Raider covered up by the Trinity organization, Croft sets off to expose the truth behind ancient myths, beginning with a search for the fabled Siberian city of Kitezh. The third-person action is set in epic environments full of ferocious wild animals, unstable footing, and variable weather, and gameplay consists of exploration, puzzle solving, and a mix of brute combat and stealth attacks.<br><br>Rise of the Tomb Raider features a crafting system that lets players gather materials from plants and animals to make important items, and Croft can now interact with the environment in new ways, including climbing trees, hiding behind bushes, and swimming underwater to confuse or avoid enemies. Gamers can wield a variety of weapons and tools, including pistols, a climbing ax, a bow-and-arrow, explosives, and the new hunting knife, and tomb exploration remains a key part of the action, with Croft solving a variety of environmental puzzles in order to acquire treasures and uncover clues about the ancient city.

This game deserves to be recognized as one of the best of the series, the storyline and graphics are really extraordinary Lara Croft looks amazing in HD and her adventures keep getting better and better with various weapons at her disposal and great athletic movements she can survive against many dangerous enemies around her.

Boring
To me it seemed more about the story than the game play. It's like playing a boring movie. Find this. Do that. Not very challenging. A bunch of upgrades that don't seem to be needed. Good graphics. Boring game play. It just wasn't for me.

Top 4 3rd person action adventure
For xbox one this is a must own title since we don't have Uncharted or TLOU. Still nice for ps4 fans too. This game is loaded with content and can easily be played a second time on a harder difficulty. The graphics and storyline are all just top notch. Cant wait for the next adventure with Lara Croft.

Great game
I never got around to playing this when it was new. Story is very good, gameplay is a little too easy in normal settings (Lara can can machine gun fire no problem while baddies die easily). Recommend if you haven’t played before.

Product was received before date and clean. The game itself however is a bore. Literally have to stop and push the right button to see if things light up for stuff non stop. Kills the story. Very poorly thought through and conceived. Not much fun being Laura.

It's tomb raider but with futuristic gaming
It's a well action packed game and has one of my favorite characters which is Lara Croft. I remember when the first tomb raider games came out and to me, she's the same kind of character in the old ones but in the new ones she has more depth in character and that's great for a game. Compared to the old games the graphics are much better.

Great game while it lasted
This was a very good game, but it did not take long to complete. I finished the game (94% complete) in only 4 days. 100% completion took another 2 days. I completed some additional achievements that took a few more days. It has some replay possibilities, but they were over the same game chapters and seemed a bit redundant.

This is a very enjoyable game that I would strongly recommend not only to fans of the Tomb Raider series, but to anyone who likes fast-paced action both in gunplay and in exploration sequences. The crafting system is also quite good and really encourages you to search out the various areas for all the things you can use to improve your weapons and other equipment.
