Fiskars 24x36 Self-Healing Mat
Fiskar always produces quality products that make sewing & embroidery work so easy and efficient. I originally had a piece of plexiglass I was using to cut my fabrics on, but the rotary cutter would sink into it with the fabric making cutting a nightmare. Mats are great--just odious.
The mat would be a great value except for the smell which gives me a migraine. I don't know that the smell will ever go away as it is made of pvc materials. If it did not have the smell, I could recommend it. California will not allow this mat to be sold there due to health concerns. I called Fiskars, and they said they had that problem with the older mats. They sent me a replacement which smells just as bad. The mat is in the shipping box with coffee beans. The first mat will go outside on my porch to see if fresh air will cure it. As it is, I can't use either one.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Just the right size for a kitchen quilter . . .
I don't have my own "quilting" work space and therefore use the time honored "kitchen table" method of cutting and pieces quilts. This cutting board is large enough to put on the table for any size work area. Don't buy one of the cheapies! They only have grid marks for up to 23x35 inches
Unlike many of the other cutting mats that have an overall size of 24x36 and grid markings up to 23x25, this mat is a tad larger with grids lines going up to 24x36 inch marks. The square grids and grid lines are on both sides of the mat but what I like most is the inch marks extend into the outer portion of the mat so you can measure something that is 24x36 without having to flip your fabric to make sure you're on the lines.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
