I started my search using "audiophile recommended headphone". I found myself modifying my search, but "audiophile" stayed in the searches. I wanted something that most audio nuts agreed actually sounded good, without being terribly expensive. When I was down to four choices, this Sennheiser stood out because of the 100 hour battery life.
These headphones are almost a life changing experience. Not only do movies, Youtube, etc sound better, but phone calls work! VOIP and Google Voice were almost unintelligible, until now. Today, I can talk to someone around the world, and it really sounds as if they are sitting next to me. I've asked several people about the sound quality of the microphone, and they unanimously agree that the sound is great.
This GSP 370 beats any headphone / headset I've ever owned, and that includes a couple pair of Sennheiser I've owned in years past.
One more thing: It works with Linux! The headset shows up as GSP 370 headset on my system, and it just works without diving into the drivers morass.
