Helped me out of a dead end
I'm very happy for this item BECAUSE like with all other VAG parts, VAG does not support their older cars for parts (you can go to BMW and order parts for 50 year old BMWs). I needed a gas cap for an 04 TT quatro 3.2 roadster, and guess what, VAG no longer makes a replacement and neither does anyone else. You can get one for a turbo 4, but not the 3.2 6. So with idiot light on I ordered a new gas cap three times, for the so called dealers to then only check with VAG and find out the part is discontinued and zero stock. Good economical alternative to replacing the entire cap.
Pros: It fit properly and brought an improvement compared to an old seal (that had cracks). It is less expensive than replacing the entire cap with a new (original) one. Cons: On the inside of the ring, there was some residual material (probably burr left from the injection process), that may affect the quality of the seal at that point of contact.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
