Powerful!
Very powerful vacuum that the other battery ones can not go anywhere near matching. I own both this and the new battery Dyson. Obviously the battery one gets used for a minor clean of the kitchen floor for a couple of minutes and that is handy. This upright is needed to do a full clean and performs excellently. If it can keep my farmhouse clean it will work anywhere!
I live on a farm with indoor dogs....if it's not dusty it's muddy. This vacuum copes with it all. Simple and easy to use, built at just right height for my dodgy back not to get sore. Easy to empty and you don't have to inhale the dust when doing so. Great unit and build quality
I had used Dyson for many years and for some reason was talked into a Miele vacuum cleaner which I really disliked as it was always tipping over when easily caught up and not doing a very good job. Powerful vacuum cleaner (great on carpet) but heavy
It cleans carpet well especially with the wide powered brush head BUT its heavy. Compared to my old DC04, it is constructed with more plastic (e.g. the extension tube) but its heavier than the DC04. The DC04 tools are not compatible with this newer Dyson.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This machine can suck
The equipment isn't 'easy' to assemble, the pictograms are not that helpful. The written instructions are far more useful. Though once assembled and powered up, the issues with assembly are forgotten. The quantity of dirt / filth this equipment pulled out of my carpets is amazing. I knew my old vaccy had less 'suck' but I never realised it was so inefficient - like it was only stroking the carpet rather than removing dirt. I am very pleased with my purchase as regards raw power and sucking capability. On the outside, the equipment itself doesn't seem to have much metal in its construction, just the usual Dyson colourful strengthened plastic. I can see the handle breaking over the next few years as a result of use - it does seem flimsy but being Dyson I assume spare parts are easy to get hold of.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Another good dyson product
We have had dc14 model. It was working fine; one day the clutch for the turbo head was gone. I ordered this model. After dc14, drum seemed smaller, and seemed more difficult to push. After a while, we get used to it. I did not get why they put the motor in some kind of ball; it seemed not much advantage. I wanted to buy a newer version of dc14 model, but I ended up with this, since there is only this model available in the market. Overall, it beats the carpet well, extracts dust well; a good vacuum cleaner. I already a new clutch for my dc14. I hope it gets functional again.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent Dyson dc 65
The dc65 is exactly what you expect from dyson. Exceptional performance. The only negative is that there were no instructions at all in the box.
