Cheaply made rubbish. Very bad fit
This is not a positive and negative terminal set. You get 2 identical tereminals which don't fit either the positive (too small) or the negative (too large). They are parallel bore so don't make good contact on the tapered battery posts. They will work well enough for small current loads so not a complete failure.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Perfectly adequate
I was a little concerned by the few negative reviews but needn't have been. The two clamps supplied are identical and not marked for positive or negative, but they don't need to be. Yes, they're not tapered but I had to problems securing them to the terminals on a leisure battery in a caravan. There's plenty of room and scope to attach multiple items to them, but admittedly as they're all going in the same "sandwich" you have to hold them all together when tightening the bolts to secure them. I've no concerns about durability in my application. As I said, perfectly adequate and a snip at the price.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I needed to replace my old terminal clamps as they were cracking - I got these as a temporary fix until I got some materials to crimp my new cables properly. One works as intended the other snapped as soon as I tightened it up - I think this was due to an error with casting, looked as if there was an air bible in the metal. Perfect for standard car batteries
The item met expectations, one thing I didn't know was that the cable terminals are M6. I had assumed that they would be M8, it just meant that I needed to use a different crimp on the end of the cable. A useful feature (although I didn't use it) was that cable could be retained by loosening the two bolts and fitting it into a recess between a plate and the clamp. All in all, just what I needed. As always, after installation, I would protect the terminal with some petroleum jelly in order to prevent fluffy deposits (corrosion) which will cause electrical issues.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
