It is overall well made and well finished. I've bought about 5 of these banjos over time on behalf of students and at this price point they are quite fair for the money. Also bought around 6 of this company's ukuleles. This latest purchase has several notes that have fret buzz. This is either the fret wire below the note is a little high or the neck is slightly out of line and needs an adjustment. I can probably fix this with a few minutes and a file. At any rate it is the first out of a decent bunch that wasn't overall totally playable. It was packed carefully and in perfect tune out of the box.
