    Good quality good value Welding Helmet

    I have 4 welding helmets and this helmet replaces a 2 sensor helmet with built in batteries that does a few months ago (I'm never getting one off those again) that I bought about 15 years ago. Two of my helmets have 4 sensors but a smaller viewing window than the Promax 500, which is the main reason I decided to buy one. The Promax 500 ticks all the plus boxes for use by a Welder/Plasma cutter operator. Fast response, excellent viewing angle and colour rendition mays it a joy to use. I've been using it to teach a mate welding, and with him wearing the hePromax 500 lmet it's definitely made it easier for him to lean. It's too early for me to say how long the head mounting harness will last but it certainly seems no worse than similar value helmets. The one thing that irritates me about this helmet is the controls are all inside the helmet - it would be useful to have outside is at least the grinding to welding setting.

    Best value for money , high quality Welding Shield available

    This is just an outstanding welding shield , and it is price is just as outstanding . For the money I spent , I could not have got a better welding shield , and I actually believe that I could have spent twice the money on other options , and I still wouldn`t have got a welding shield as good as this . I`ll keep this one for life .

    Great helmet, let down by the headband.

    The lens & vision offered by this helmet is the best I've tried this far. It certainly allows the clearest view of the weld & it's true colour that I've experienced. What loses it a star is the head band assembly. It just doesn't seem to fit just right & can slip fairly easily. Fix that, & it would be close to perfect.
