NotesLimited vinyl LP pressing in die cut sleeve. 2015 release. Blackstar is David Bowie's 28th studio album and his first since stunning the world in 2013 with the critically acclaimed The Next Day. The release date for Blackstar coincides with David's 69th birthday. The album's title track is the first single, and is accompanied by a short film visual by the acclaimed director Johan Renck. The album features musical assistance from Tim Lefebvre, Mark Guiliana, Donny McCaslin, Ben Monder, Jason Lindner, James Murphy and longtime producer Tony Visconti. Blackstar features seven tracks including "'Tis A Pity She Was A Whore", "Lazarus", "Sue (Or In A Season Of Crime" and the title track.

Fantastic record!
It is a shame David is no longer with us. But this work reflects his thoughts and feelings during a difficult time in his life. And the music reflects that. Do yourself and favor and take a listen. A bit dark, but certainly worth the money!

All Black and So Cool
This was a birthday gift for my brother; a huge Bowie fan. He plans to frame it and never open the wrap. He loves the die cut and the fact that it is all black. Even around the platter hole. He was unable to find it like that. So, I win as a gift giver. It was even delivered early.
