Well designed, versatile fitting
I use this device to connect a Samurai Blade SDI recorder on top of my ENG rigged Sony FS5 when used on a tripod in a 'studio' configuration. When used ENG or shoulder mounted, the Blade recorder is set behind the shoulder to act as a counterweight along with my custom battery pack

A nice solid litte piece
I'm using the smallRig cold shoe for a lightning trigger, all gels together very well, having the tilt adjustment is the one of the othe reasons I purchased it, so now I'm waiting patiently waiting for the next storm.....
