A great walking aid and possible self defense item
I purchased this great Walkabout stick due to the need for a new walking aid. Its sturdy in design and the poly carbonate construction will ensure many years of rugged service. The large knob-like head ensures a good grip, and the extra length ensures that people of all heights can purchase and use it, as the stick can easily be cut to length with a hacksaw. The stick is very low maintenance and easily cleaned with a damp cloth. The addition of a 22 mm rubber tip would make it suitable for use on hard surfaces. Walkabout stick
This walking stick takes a bit of getting used to. I have been hiking trails a few times with it now. The shape was clumsy at first, but after some time and handling it a lot. It is good. I mainly use it for going down hill. It would be good self defense against a dog or a person that was attacking you. Excellent quality walking stick particularly for the taller person. Solid self defense option whilst ultra discreet. I have Bataireacht training and Blackthorn shillelagh fighting and the Walkabout is a good substitute. It's smoother finish is actually a benefit in someways.
