GREAT BIBLE TO HAVE FOR CARAVANING

What an awesome and detailed book. Tells you everything you need to know. My wife and I are about to embark on the Australian dream and travel our great country. Without this book, I wouldn't know where to begin. Our van is self sufficient and this book tells you all the free campsites around. Awesome. Thank you to the editor.

    Disappointing

I traveled from Wollongong down the coast along The Great Ocean Road to Adelaide then back along The Murray River back home. Bought it for the camping sites side of it I found it useless and massively outdated. Didn't show as many places that actually exist when I was on the road. The maps side is good. I would have been better buying a road map of Australia. I only used the maps and then referred to Google maps gps for my travels this worked a treat.

  • Not enough sites

We used it for first time on trip from far south coast NSW to sunshine beach QL. Found it quite frustrating as often no sites in area we wanted to stop and many that were listed had no power. Very Dissapointing as was expensive. Ended up using Google to find camp sites for night.

  • New Caravaners

So far we are pretty green when it comes to caravanning. We did a lot of camping in our earlier years of travel, but since becoming empty nesters, we travelled more overseas. All has changed in the intervening 25 years, so this has been helpful in planning our first serious trip in the van. Nice to get an idea of what type of camping facilities are going to be there, whether the road in is suitable for towing a van in etc. I'm sure we will find it quite handy whilst we are also on theroad.

  • What a way to go!

So glad I came across this book , I have been sitting down with my wife and working out where we will be touring next and other trips as well. We are both retired now and we are wanting to do several trips over the next couple of years and this book gives us the knowledge to be able to work out the best most scenic and cost effective way of doing the trips . A valuable asset for us.

  • Camps 8

As someone that spends a fair bit of time travelling Australia, I find this book invaluable. Unfortunately, many of the "Pay now" caravan parks have out priced themselves, as far as the traveller is concerned. This book allows me to travel and still manage to do it on a budget. I also have Camps 7 in my Hema satellite navigator. So, as you can see, I love this book and use it for planning any trip that I plan. I would seriously recommend it to anyone thinking of travelling this country.
