As described can use this as a point of reference while staying basically the same weight but building muscle. My measurements over the years had changed drastically and used one of these during a national contest that showed 4% loss in 12 week period on strick workout and diet so I am good with my purchase...

Worked well while it lasted.
It is as accurate as resistance measuring method can be (not perfectly, but enough to monitor the direction of your body fat changes when you diet). However, after about 3 years of very infrequent use, it stopped working.

Works but had to modify the battery contacts
It was missing a spring that completes the circuit. I was able to fix it by stripping the wire back and wrapping it around a spring I had laying around. Other than that it works as described.
