Simply lay the cards out three at a time and voila--a meal appears, a vision from the spirit realm. This dining divination game can be played alone or with hungry friends to give apathetic appetites a mystical nudge in the right direction.
If you are looking for a irreverent, over-the-top Tarot deck - this is it! After all - why be stymied by the standard Rider-Waite way of reading cards when you can use Trumps such as Fish & Chips or The Hoagie, and Suits of Main dishes (Banh Mi), Side dishes (Mac & Cheese), Sweets, such as The Banana Split, or Drinks - reading the Espresso card!
With his tongue firmly screwing into his cheek, Josh LaFayette designs cards of epicurean delight, and even writes the book to accompany your reading/meal.
This deck will delight any Foodie Tarot lover that you know. Yes-you can actually do Tarot readings using this deck! {But only if you can stop laughing long enough to do so!}
This deck is so funny; I love it! Even the booklet is hilarious. The book does tell you what each pic is, but it doesn’t say ‘0-fool’ it’s ‘0-egg, the beginning’. It even has helpful “tarot spreads” listed to help you choose your meal.
My only problem is that the card stock is thin like cheap playing cards. But the box it came in has the bottom flaps glued closed instead of tucked, which I liked because if you store your deck in the box that little flap that sticks up sometimes stops that one card from setting right.
This deck is so fun and entertaining, I think it would be the perfect deck for tarot readers wanting to come out of the closet.
Very fun novelty tarot card set. Perfect for deciding what's for dinner, or what to put on the shopping list. Comes with a booklet that includes some sample spreads and how to read them.
