Fast and Works Perfectly in my Older Toshiba Laptop
My wife had been using an older Toshiba P775 laptop and eventually it became dog slow as Windows will do after a while. I decided to buy her a new laptop, but reinstalled Windows 7 on this laptop. While considering the install, it was a good time to upgrade the slow 5400RPM sata drive to SSD. This SSD drive doesn't come with the cable to allow you to copy or migrate your old data over, but since I was starting fresh anyway, no worries. Once the drive was installed, which was very easy, I installed the OS and loaded the driver for the SSD. No problems at all. Like many before that have upgraded their storage to SSD, it's like having a brand new laptop that is very fast to boot and a pleasure to work with.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The good one.
Have 3 850 pro, 1 850 evo. Actually cant tell difference between EVO and Pro performance wise. My one laptop pro, its been used in my laptop since I think the end of 2014 and had all of the windows 10 insider versions installed on it conservatively over 100 times both freshly and as upgrades, each build several ways. ... and used 24hrs a day... showing about 8TB not a single hiccup. Win 10 pro always boots for me in 3 to 4 seconds on that quad core i7 16gb ram laptop. Runs pretty much at spec speeds and spec I/o on reads, but doesn't reach spec max on the I/o writes.. think that's a laptop channels problem. Have an EVO in that laptop as a 2nd drive replacing the DVD and its had over 50 now 2.5gb esd's moved into it for storage and made and stored over 50 iso's, plus some other various windows install iso's and stored a daily image from the win10 installs. DVD connector is only SATA2 so its running half max speed basically - It's worked flawlessly too. So I cant complain. Very Fast!!!
I just installed it around the first of March so I can't comment on the durability as far as how long it will last, but as far as how it appears to be made seems of quality. Now, as far as performance, it is extremely fast and seems to not have any glitches. I installed this in a desktop in my studio and so far it runs pro-tools very efficiently. A Must Have
Been using Crucial and Corsair SSD for years and I have Zero complain both on gaming and editing but out of curiosity I got this Samsung 850 Pro. All I can say is "wow" native speed is not surprising just about 500+ on Max Sequential Read/Write but you will be blown away on its rapid mode via its software included along with other performance tweaks. Unbelievable!
I can't believe I waited so long to get one of these. I kept thinking I needed more RAM for my laptop that was taking about 5 minutes to boot and minutes to shutdown or restart. I installed this SSD drive and a full restart takes less than 30 seconds. I can also start using it as soon as I log on where before it would take minutes before I could do anything while Windows got itself going. Replacement computer drive

Buy one. You will be amazed at the performance of your computer if it had a normal hard drive. I replaced a Seagate SCSI drive that was faster than most drives.
