Worth the money
Good Blue Ray Player. Love the quick start feature. The remote for my projector works the blue ray on most most functions which is very nice. The only gripe so far as it doesn't seem to want to power off without pressing the power button several times. I never liked the fact that my tv or projector powers up when I eject the DVD or blue ray. I have this problem with another player. A firmware option to disable this would be great.

Great little machine

It does all the things I need in a player and Wi-Fi is easy to use it's multi region it's so compact and nice look to it my only gripe is no audio out for my Bluetooth soundbar but I can plug a transmitter into the USB port easy fix

Backward compatible wirh 30 yrs CDs and DVDs in collection
It is backward compatible with all the CDs and DVDs in our collection of almost 30 years!! Like the up-scaling - great picture. Also, is compatible with out Sony TV and Sony Surround System. Need only one remote, except when using Roku. Recognized region 2 automatic.

FANTASTIC blue-ray region free dvd
Highly recommend this Sony DVD player, and be sure NOT to get updates for the player from Sony as they will sabotage your 'region free' capability. I know, I bought this previously and it worked great on any region dvd format. But I made the huge mistake of downloading a software update from Sony; thereafter my Sony blu-ray player no longer played the foreign make dvds, so I've ordered, or rather reordered this model and will never get another update from Sony. But I am happy with the quality and ease the Sony DVD player works.
