easy to use
Had tried an electronic stud finder which gave a lot of false positives. I used this to get a rough idea of where the studs were, and then used the electronic one to confirm. Magnet is very strong, and clings to screws and nails with no problems.

Must-Have gadget for every DIYer
Brilliant little gadget if you need to hang heavy items on the walls. This makes finding wall studs a piece of cake. Magnets are really strong. The fact that it doesn’t need any power source and comes with a spirit level makes it really good value. Built quality is really good too.

Good if you are looking for metal
US product where - I think - they use metal fasteners (screws and nails) to fix plasterboard. Amazingly powerful magnet. Problem is, I think our tradies are moving to glue so a bit hit and miss.
