12 year old daughter is deleted
My daughter loves it. It's equivalent to an iPhone, she talks and texts on it FREE over wifi. And doesn't even need WiFi to text other apple users. So parents save your iPhone money. They won't know the difference. She did say the battery doesn't last long. She admitted that her friends thinks it's an iPhone 5 and that she wouldn't have know the difference, had I not mentioned it.

Good device came with old iOS
The device itself is great. But it came with iOS 8 and it was an ordeal to get it updated. After many attempts over different WiFi, I ended up updating through iTunes. And when trying through the WiFi there were no diagnostics or error messages either. So I was baffled. It's definitely faster than the previous generation!
The 6th generation iPod touch is much faster than my 5th generation iPod Touch it is right up to par with my iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6S plus. The slowness due to the iOS updates on my iPod 5th generation is nonexistent on the 6th generation one. I will still use the 5th generation as a back up but I am so glad I purchased this one. One of the good features about the iPod Touch even though it's not a phone is that you can download "phone apps" and still make calls from the iPod touch. It is definitely a handy device to have and I look at it as being a baby "iPad mini-mini." The iPod touch is a cheaper way into entering Apples iOS ecosystem if you're on a budget.Verified purchase: Yes
