Hadn't realised how loud my old pump was until I bought this silent new pump, worth every dollar.
I hadn't realised how LOUD my pump had gotten until I moved my tank into a more open area. It was rattling and making horrible vibrations. In spite of the ease of cleaning and using rubber tubing as replacement mounts I could not make the pump any quieter. I was hesitant to buy a replacement as I wasn't sure how such a simple, magnetic pump could produce such sound, so wasn't sure how a brand new one would be quieter. OMG! It is TOTALLY SILENT now! So if your pump is at all noticeable in sound and cleaning it out doesn't fix it, yeah, this replacement is amazing.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Love the peace and quiet!
It's FANTASTIC. The old pump had become very noisy and continued to just get louder and louder. It drove us crazy, especially at night but when the new pump went into the tank, we were pleasantly surprised... so happy with the new pump and we're amazed at how quiet the tank is now. We can't even tell if the pump running without looking into the tank for bubbles - love it and love the peace and quiet!
