    A Must For Apple Users

I have a relatively small house, about 1800 sq ft. My internet router is located in the rear corner of my 1st floor, so the 5 Ghz doesn’t reach my bedroom on the second floor opposite corner of the house. I disabled my ISP Wifi I radio and installed thIs Airport Extreme, created a new wireless network, and added a wired Airport Express to extent the 5 GHz SSID. It worked FANTASTIC! It’s a shame that’s Apple stopped making this product, it’s the only product that seems to truly be able to easily extent an existing Apple WiFi network without creating a separate SSID. This AirPort Extreme is only a 4th generation, most likely 10 years old, but it’s the best WiFi my home has ever had! I plan on purchasing a backup, 6th generation A1521 to replace this older Express, but won’t do so until it finally kicks the bucket.

Only Works with AirPrint Approved Printers

The router interface app Airport Utility only has generic settings. Will only work with AirPrint printers. Impossible to print to non-AirPrint printers from iPad because Apple does not allow third party apps into their innards. I really regret buying my new iPad. At least I am happy to know there is a company worse than MicroSoft.

  • Great product & price.

Opened it up - great condition. Plugging it in - worked right away. Set it up for my unique network - immediately worked. I'm very happy. Rock solid piece of tech!

  • A good Router

Router is in great shape. It was a little bitty, but it cleaned up just fine. I’m using it as a wireless bridge over 5ghz network for my Gaming room. It’s also providing LAN for gaming consoles that lack a WiFi chip(Backwards compatible PS3).

  • Extend 5 GHz Network with AirPort Extreme

The AirPort Extreme A1354 4th Generation was ordered because that is what we already had. After realizing the network, here, needed to be extended. Bought a second one to accomplish that task. Making the two Extremes easier to manage because they were identical. Now there is a 5GHz covering our entire property.

  • Apple's Airport Extreme is easy to setup and monitor using your iPhone

Not only can you setup, configure, update and monitor your router with an iPhone app, you can hook two of them together to extend the range of your Wi-Fi, either using a cable, or even wirelessly.

  • Getting Long in the Tooth, but Still Solid

I just bought another of these for my home. They have been rock solid and done a nice job. Since Apple dropped their line of routers a year or so ago, they are getting a little out-dated.

  • Good Access Point

Excellent option if looking to expand your WiFi coverage. The menu is very simple and Apple provides firmware updates to keep the Access Point safe and secure. The unit is dual band as well.

  • Used Airport express

I just this minute configured the unit. Took me all of 5 minutes to do. It’s that easy. Highly recommended, priced right and in great shape.
