Powerful amp
This amp is a great value. USA models sound better than Mexico amps. If you plan to use it for 5 hour gigs, I would raise the two resistors away from the circuit. Board. They get hot as one would expect. You must use an attenuator, or you cannot turn it past 2 (or 1) for practice at home. An attenuator box is only $20, and you can crank it to 4 and get a nice tone that will not deafen you, and is a little driven. On stage I can easily play a noisy club with power to spare. Like it better than my old 1966 Vibrolux. Forget the drive channel. The clean is beautiful.

Hot Roding the HotRod Deluxe
Just got my guitar amp back from have the Fromel supreme mod kit installed. Although the kit was priced decently,I must warn you, the labor cost was pretty steep. But seeing as my amp was getting to be about 20 years old or older, I figured that it was about time to have the electronics in it redone anyway. I installed a new set of JJ tubes in it prior to the mod kit, and it did help some,but, after the upgrade of this kit...WOW NICE!!! It does do everything that they advertised...Now that little bastard KICKS-ASS!

Hot Rod Deluxe Control Panel Overlay
What a great improvement on the visibility of the amps controls. The flat black provides excellent visibility under stage conditions that the original shiny chrome one was just terrible. The numbers and id wear off and you're left guessing which knob is which. You don't have that with the new overlay. I want one for my Hot Rod Deville. Get busy, boys!

Truely a Hot Rodded Deluxe.
I installed the Supreme mod kit in my 15 year old Hot Rod Deluxe today. I worked slowly and safely and it took about 4 hours. I put in some new JJ tubes, adjusted the bias, and began to play. This amp sounds amazing. I chose the global master volume mod option, and it's perfect. I can set my volume control just at the point of overdrive, and adjust my level with the master volume. I can use the footswitch for clean boost and overdriven boost. This is way more useful than the stock drive / more drive. This was my third Fromel mod installation. I can't wait to play this amp for my musician friends. They will be blown away. Thanks, Bill Sig

Fixed and brought my amp back to life.
These are well chosen components to replace poor quality capacitors in early Fender Hot Rod Deluxe amps. I had a number of problems with my amp, random channel switching, flashing standby light, terrible tone, crackly problems (which I at first wrongly attributed to the valves.) and this fixed all of them problems perfectly. Highly recommended for anyone who wants their amp brought back to life!

Filling a gap in the market.
Excellent product which seems to be unavailable elsewhere. (this includes Fender) The overlay changes a amplifier with poor appearance , due to rusting of the control panel, into a very presentable, (almost new looking) amplifier. Add cream chicken-head knobs and the customer is impressed.
