I chose this Power supply to two main reasons , first I wanted a Good brand and EVGA is top quality the second reason is extra power for future options is a must , if you are like me and just getting into pc gaming you don't wanna make the mistake of buying a low power supply , in this case say you want to add 2 more terabytes to your storage ? Excellent options with all PC connection types - including 3.5" floppy
Excellent power supply that provides connectors for 1 x 24 mobo or 1 x 20 mobo, sata, floppy/other. Of course your BIOS must support floppy. Very quiet and good price for 500watts. Light weight item and slipped right into my HP (ATX) tower case. Runs my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 and all other peripherals with no problems. Been using it for one month and no headaches. Just build a gaming pc and this has more than enough power for the build I put together. I haven't really pushed the system yet but I haven't hear a sound from the power supply. Great for a Budget!
The power supply works well for the current setup I have as well as it being 80+ White, although the lowest tier of efficiency, it performs adequately for it’s ranking. For the $50 price point it’s pretty good. You could spend a little extra on a 80+ Bronze or higher, however, this power supply works as intended, if you don’t have high expectations. This power supply is not efficient so your electric bill may have a slight increase, and you may experience some trouble with overclocking as I stated before, it’s not really efficient.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

After 2 1/2 years it did start making fan noise, so ordered this other as a back-up.
