Terrible instructions, good unit.
The manual / instructions are TERRIBLE. The damend thing wouldn't work and the step you needed to take to make it work were not in the manual, but in a totally unrelated Youtube video we found (you have to put the black cap over the light sensor, press close, click your heels together three times and do a little jig, then it starts working!). This is not specified in the so-called instructions. Apart from that, it's now working like a charm and keeps the possums out of the coop at night. Yay!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Would be fantastic with a larger door
Product works really well, I did however have to weight the door to allow it to close as i have the line going around 3 pulleys and the door which comes with is really light. I would have prefered a larger door as this one (in my opinion) is suited to small and medium sized birds. My Large indian game has trouble with the width and my Brahma Rooster (only the size of a Light Sussex) has a little troubole with the size all round.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Have had it installed for a couple of weeks and seems to work quite well. Reasonably easy to install and set up. The girls took to using it in a matter of minutes. The only thing that would make it better would be a small solar panel and batteries but it is easy to change batteries as is.

Seems to be working fine after using it for a week. 2 of the pre drilled holes in the aluminium bars were in the wrong place so I had to drill the correct ones. Not sure the box housing the motor will withstand rain so yet to see. It does work though.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I have been going up to watch it close almost every night.. Its just so satisfying. I have a pair of foxes that come every single night and check their luck.. Makes life easier!
This Auto door saves us from going out in the cold in the morning to let the chickens out, and goes down after they head to bed. We had to attach some fishing sinkers to get some more weight on it to go down, though works perfectly now.
