Lightweight, Easy to Operate, Great Performance
Love this vacuum! I wanted a canister vac because uprights are just too heavy and stick vacuums don't have enough battery life on a single charge. This Dyson performs beautifully. I used my old vacuum on one room first, then used the Dyson to see whether it picked up much additional dirt. It did -- there was a measurable amount in the dirt cup. It has great suction. If the suction is too strong for area rugs, you can adjust suction with a trigger control on the handle. It's lightweight and easy to move around -- great for stairs and maneuvering around and under furniture. If you tip it over, it even rights itself! Very easy to empty and doesn't create a cloud of dust when you do. And it has a long (21 ft.) retractable cord. It is extremely well designed and simple to operate, and comes with a crevice/upholstery tool and stair tool that both clip onto the wand for storage. I highly recommend it if you want a lightweight vacuum that will run longer than 20 minutes, or if you have stairs in your home. I would buy this again in a minute!

Disappointing Dyson
I've owned a Dyson canister vacuum for nearly 20 years--the best ever. Unfortunately, this is a terrible replacement for the old one. It does have powerful suction (this not necessarily a good thing.) Unfortunately, the narrower non-motorized head does not work well on low pile carpet. It doesn't work at all on throw rugs--it just sucks the rugs up, not the dirt. The suction is also too powerful on linoleum and actually lifts the flooring. In order to use the vacuum on laminate or other hard floors, you must pull on a trigger the entire time or else the dirt simply blows around the floor. It is very tiring if you have more than one room to vacuum. The dirt collection bin has fragile plastic tabs that hold it in place, so you must be very careful not to break them off when emptying the dirt into the garbage. One positive--using the included attachments, it did a nice job vacuuming our vehicles.

Love it!
This vacuum is a dream to use. It has a long, (and retractable) power cord for less hassle going from room to room. The height of the vacuum tube is adjustable making it comfortable as well as allowing for a further reach. All of the accessories are very useful and I like that I can purchase additional ones to customize my cleaning needs. The suction is amazing on carpets, floors, for dusting, etc. I highly recommend this Dyson!

The animal has a huge appetite!

great performance
Was a little confusing on what attachments did what and how to store them on the vacuum. Had to watch a video on how to put it all together. Should come with a storage bag for the attachments that don't have a spot on the vacuum it self. Takes a bit to remember where the on/off button is...not very convenient location. But as far as the vacuum itself it has very good performance and squeezes into small spaces because of the ease of swivel on the attachment. Can be very noisy if you suck up any thing hard such as a M&M. Over all I would recommend it to a friend or family member.

Good little machine
Good vacuum. Only a couple problems - if there stuff on the floor that may be thicker than 1/8 of an inch it is difficult to get without taking off the vacuum head. The other is the cord is a little shorter than I'd like.

Awesome Vacuum
Light & easy to use. Have a shark upright that has great suction but is very heavy to use. This canister is much easier to maneuver and I love the extending pole. So far I have no complaints about this vac.

Works Great, Storage is Problematic
I dont like the way the cleaning wand and head attach to the body of the unit. I have had other Dyson canisters and it connected and held although it always wobbled. This vacuum does not even hold. The wand falls off from the attachment and even the latch mechanism attached to the wand detached itself and had to be reattached several times. It is a problem for me because you cannot store it without the wand laying on the floor. I think Dyson dropped the ball on this one!
