Realistic and fun to build.
These Sluban vehicles are an excellent rendition of the prototype given the limitations of the medium. The PzIV is, overall, vey good in almost every way. They go together easily, but offer a challenge, having several hundred parts. Many innovative parts and clever assembly have been used to solve accuracy problems and make a representative model. Once you get used to the format, the instructions are clear, concise and well presented. IKEA could learn a lot here! I only made the PzIV, not the Hummel, and my two biggest criticisms are: The tracks really are too narrow—and this does stand out. The front plate with the mg and visor is just wrong. Not a big deal except it could be easily fixed by replacing a two lug block with two singles and moving everything to the left by one lug. My only other criticisms are the connection between the turret and the hull which is possibly a bit feeble, and the muzzle brake. This would be acceptable except there is a better one available in the Panther kit. In both cases here I am being picky, but that is a reflection of how good the set is overall. Generally, the build quality and finish are very good to excellent, again within the limitations of the medium. The tracks work though they may not be very robust. While it may be due to their modular approach and offering two in one kits, I really appreciate the provision of spares for some of the small accessory parts. The picture on the box is an accurate depiction of the contents once assembled.
