Read instructions first to understand the Wattage displays. It reads actual power, max + min powers. The body is rather tall making it difficult to plug in to my sockets below the shelf. It needs 4 inches/ 100mm clearance above the socket. The backlight is blue which stays on for 10-12 seconds after a button is pressed. An internal battery holds the kWh unit reading after a power cut.
