My first dash cam
Someone did a hit n run on my car a few months back while I was sleeping in my condo. Tho the damage was minimal, it still cost me a $200 deductible and time w/o my car. People aren't as caring anymore to leave a note and unfortunately the camera don't record in the complex. So the only logical option for me after the incident was to purchase a dash cam. Not knowing what to look for, I asked on a car forum I'm on, and the two brands that were spoken of the most were Blackvue and Thinkware. So naturally I confined in YouTube comparison vids to help me further and it seemed as tho the Thinkware had the edge. I started looking into the recommended F770 and F800. The Pro was not out at the time. I waited a few Months for financial reasons and glad I did because I saw and read about the F800 pro. Not knowing that it had just come out but not yet released in states, I found this seller and was the best price I could find. From Norway to Virginia I received my product in 4 days! No lie. Just a heads up, the hardwire kit must be purchased separately. If you have a Best Buy around I would purchase from them because they have the hardwire kit in stock and they price match. Anyway, I unboxed my dash cams and got to work. Cleaned both front & back windshield, applied cams via supplied 3m tape and ran the link cord. Quick 10 min install. Very easy and straight foward. Haven't hardwired it yet. Attached cig lighter adaptor to front cam, plugged it in and hit the power button. Was excited to hear the voice that came on. I downloaded the app via the Play Store and got to work and linking the phone. Only thing I found odd was the delayed cam reaction. If i put a piece of paper or something in front of the lens and move it back out of site, the camera will show a delayed image reaction. It's behind like 2secs. Not a big deal to me tho. Im still messing around w/ the different cam settings but overall I'm happy. Also, they are pretty small which i like. Looks bigger in pic(s).
