Fantastic For the price
Super zoom compact cameras have come a long way. I purchased this for my granddaughter who at a young age is interested in video production and the smartphone is no longer good enough. As a former professional now a avid hobbyist I use high end DSLR cameras but was very satisfied with the overall build and image quality. It had some difficulty staying in focus when zoomed to long telephoto length , it tended to hunt .But this is not a fair comparison because to get lock on focus, you are looking at paying 10 x the price. It compares favorably with similar cameras in this price range. Still photos are also on par with the competition. A real plus is the use of AAA batteries and overall simplicity of operation. Nikon Coolpix B500 Digital Camera
This is a very nice compact SDXC (Secure Digital eXtended Capacity) camera. It is small, light weight and has a host of features lacking in its competition. It runs on 4 AA batteries and can take upwards of 400 pictures on a set of new ones. However, it will also take rechargeable batteries so locating replacements is not necessary with a charger. I keep 8 rechargeable batteries on hand so I can always have a fresh set available and I never have to stop shooting to recharge. Overall, this is a great setup for travel and other casual shooting. Love the bluetooth feature

I've had similar cameras before, so knew pretty much what to expect. The camera is the perfect size for travel. I take it with me on trips rather than my larger DSLR Nikon. The viewing screen is large and bright. The picture quality is very good and the controls are easy to understand. My only complaint is that no instruction manual came with the camera.
