    Perfect Solution for Buffering Problem

I bought this product to add to my existing Powerline adapter set. I had added a new TV to the house and it's kind of far away from the Wi-Fi so this was the way to hardwire the internet connection. I didn't realize that it was going to be incompatible with my old Powerline adapters. So I ended up replacing the old adapters with these. The bandwidth on the old adapters was 85 Mbps. These adapters are 500mbps. I had recently cut the cord and was using Roku for streaming services. I was constantly getting a buffering indication and Interruption of the video and audio. When I replaced the old Powerline adapters with this set, the buffering problem completely disappeared. Life is good. Now I need to order another set to do what I was originally trying to do.

    Extender results

This product is extremely easy to set up and I tried it with a Tablo and with a laptop. It did not help with the Tablo problem like I read about on a web page. Using my ISP's speed check page, the laptop went from 22/23 mbps download on a wireless connection to 24/25 using the extender. Maybe it will work better for you but it did not do much for me. That small increase does not justify leaving two devices plugged in 24/7. It would be a good value if it worked better.

  • Great for gamers !

Ps4 was getting sub-par numbers even though Xbox was getting 75mbps. They are right next to each other? So I ordered on of these sets. Plug them in the same room wait for lights. Then took one upstairs plugged in ethernet cable to middle slot and ps4. The one downstairs to the # 4 spot on my router. Set up internet on ps4 and bam getting 50 up 5 down on ps4 now! Was getting 2mbps up 268kbps down. No more lag and games download faster ! Great product has two more ethernet slots for other things. It has been a few weeks still going strong. Great product , easy set up. Super simple, I love it !

  • Plug and play works with other PowerLine brands

Update: Switched from Fios to Optimum. Plugged directly into the new router and had some issues. PowerLines wouldn't sync and no internet was detected. After trying different outlets, cables, restarting all computer and different brand powerlines (already had a few) still no joy. It was actually an easy fix. At first I thought the outlets didn't connect throughout my house as the new router was setup in my living room as opposed to the den. I took my laptop with Ethernet jack and plugged it directly into the new router. It worked perfect. Once I had a direct connection, the other (3) powerlines in my house worked. Not sure why this would solve the problem but it was the solution that worked. Original Review: Have Fios in my house but the WiFi is downstairs in the den and it's spotty in living room and bedrooms. PowerLines are a much better solution. Plugging direct into each unit via Ethernet cable gives me the same throughput as if I was plugged directly into the router. 30Mbps wired vs 12Mbps Wifi

  • People hate these units...but been using them for years & love them better than stringing wires all over the house.

Was using the plain pair of the units for several years (without the pass through adapter) until a former roommate stole the one next to the cable modem. With the one unit I had...will be adding these two to that one to allow whole apartment connection.

  • Perfect connection thanks to this

My bedroom has the worst connection in the house but its also where my PC and consoles are. Before I would lag on every game and videos would load slow. With this item I can get a better connection to the internet even though I’m far away from the router. Everything works fine now.

  • Works great for VOIP phone.

I am an online teacher and unfortunately my wireless connection is a little spotty because my office is on a different floor of my house than my router. This was especially an issue because my VOIP provided phone had to be run through my computer. The product has worked great and now I have a direct connection for both my laptop and phone, but most importantly the phone works independently of the computer now. Since I live in an old house I had to disregard some of the recommendations (my power strip is in the same outlet as the adapter) and it still has worked sufficiently.

  • Powerline

Quick and easy setup. Solved buffering issue on smart TV using wifi. Suggest using cat 6 or 6e rather than the cat 5e it came with.

  • For basic services

Not a top device, more likely good to be used with old devices. From no signal to some kind of connection it is good otherwise not a good device.

  • Excellent way to get network connection where wifi is weak

This is a great device! I have mine hooked up to both a PC and a network printer located in a back bedroom where the wifi signal is rather weak. Both devices now have a solid connection to the network, and can communicate easily with other computers throughout the house. Very good value, and far easier to set up than running a network cable through the walls or floor!
