All the feels
I was born in the mid-80s and fondly remember spending lots of time on my original NES clear into the early 90s. As a 30-something adult in the iProduct world I have a great appreciation for things that do one thing and do them really, really well. The NES Classic Edition brings back all of those fond memories of my gaming childhood with all the convenience of no cartridges (or blowing on them) and the true retro feel of the Nintendo OEM controller. Although there may be a premium attached to obtaining one since they've been discontinued, I am completely and fully satisfied with all the feels I've had from this product and would gladly pay that premium again. great games, tons of fun. got a edge controller much better than the controller that came with it. every body complains about that short controller, it works fine for me and my set-up. bought this unit at the right time because nes has dced them. annoyed that I had to pay extra, but prices are even worse now. Takes you back to the 1980's
Plays just like the original game from the 1980's except the unit fits in the palm of your hand and is only as wide as the controller (which is exactly the same as the original, too). Graphics are crude by today's standards, but if you are looking to bring back the memories and fun of NES original system, you will love this product. Just like new - except loaded with games!
I'm grateful for this. My NES was stolen long ago and I wanted a chance to play some of these games again. Buying this NES classic pre-loaded with games is a real time saver for those of us who don't know or have time to find and figure out how to load them ourselves. The product is the same as the ones you buy in the stores, same box and everything - except it has hundreds of games loaded onto it instead of only 30. It's packaged so perfectly it looks like it's never even been opened once to load the games. Just like new! Did a quick play of about 10 games and it's just like I remembered them being. Brings Back Childhood memories
Love my Nintendo. Has the classic games I loved playing growing up. Wish it had some other classics like the first Contra, the first Double Dragon, Kung Fu and Super Tecmo Bowl.... but that is just me being picky. I hate I had to pay the inflated price tag but it was well worth it. This Classic Edition Nintendo Entertainment System is so much fun. It really brings back the fun and memories of playing these games when i was a young lad. This console is easy to set up and the best part is you dont have to blow on the cartridges until your blue in the face to get it to work. The 30 games that are preloaded are some of the best classics i remember enjoying so much in my youth. And another bonus is that you can actually have all of the (800+) games loaded onto it for a few extra bucks thru a "mod service". Good job Nintendo
Well it took me 3 months to finally decide to overpay a little and get my hands on one of these, but I'm so happy it's finally here! The interface is clean and beautiful, great game selection, new buttons take a little getting used to but I think it just needs to be broken in. I'd say $60 is a reasonable price for hours and hours of nostalgic quality entertainment. The only thing I will say is you may want to get one of the generic controllers with a longer cord if you don't want to sit right in front of it to play. I got the Edge V2 controller and it's wonderful. I can't freaking wait for an SNES mini.
