Top quality with many great features
This unit performs as well or better than another set costing twice as much. Tuning in a rural area is excellent, will pull in stations others can't. The fit of the nicely padded earpieces is great, very comfortable, keeps motor noise to a bare minimum. Because the earpieces seal so well the volume does not need to be turned up to the maximum to hear music over the mower engine. Using the set without the radio on, running a chainsaw keeps the noise level very comfortable. A superior product, both from the standpoint of hearing protection and also from the audio performance. Not loud enough!
Unless your hearing is near 100% perfect these safety headphones will not be loud enough, I like rock music and of course rock music is meant to be listened to fairly loudly, I've lost some hearing over the years as most people have and these just don't play loud enough, forget cranking it up with these! If not for the volume I would have rated these a 4 or 5 as the quality seems good and sturdy. I found some headphones with louder volume but the issue with most headphones nowadays is the reception is terrible, only your 2 or 3 closest stations will come in without much static but my 2 fav stations are like 15 or 20 miles away, one don't come in at all and the other has about 1/3rd static all the time, compared to my truck radio that has nearly zero static and picks up way more stations, they just don't make them like they used to!!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great sound quality and makes everything else disappear
Bought these for hearing protection for my son so he can mow the lawn. When they are on your head all of the other sounds around you disappear and the radio only gets loud enough so you can hear it clearly. You do not have to worry about loosing your hearing! Great features including being able to hook up a media device, etc. Presets programmed so that you only have to press one button to change channels, easy to do with them on your head. DON'T FIT WELL
I have a pretty normal head size [7 1/8 hat] I find the headband adjustment needs to extend another 1/2" or so, as it does not allow muffs to center over my ears. Also, the fit is so secure that, while it blocks out background noise quite well, it feels like my head is in a vise.
