I use it on my drumset. Too bad that the 11 and 3/4 inch partner Conga is a million times more expensive. If your mounting a single one of these, a snare stand attached to your rack or snare stand on the floor is adequate. But if you're using two you'll need the lp holders which are archaic. But, LP Mount works together the compact Conga pair better than a couple of snare stands would, at least they do mounted on your rack--and you can mount the compact bongos as an extension up from the LP conga mount.
I play them with the Regal tip Conga stick. You have to reinforce the stick with a stapler to up the shaft aways. Regal tip Conga stick is a great idea, but it slides right off because of bad manufacturing with the one staple too close to the end of the leather on the shaft.
I would recommend this to anyone. Must be used with stand for best resonance. I repeat do not order without stand. Sound is fantastic, I have a full set of -4- congas they are bulky. I use this with my latin stick set up. Works great
