clear, colorful display
This unit replaced a b&w weather display that died after several years of use. The color on this is bright and clear. I especially like the house current as primary and AA batteries as backup although this is extremely to program or update settings as needed, The only drawback I've noticed is that attention needs to be given the angle at which the unit is to be commonly viewed since one eye level needs to be nearly perpendicular to the face of the unit to see the numbers with maximum clarity. Poor display, needs to stay plugged in
The display is difficult to read even at max contrast, unless it is in a dark place and you look straight at it. You cannot hang this on the wall, because it needs the power cable. Theoretically it funtions on batteries, but the display goes to power save mode and needs to be activated when you want to read it. Good point is the atomic clok, once you find a good reception the clok keeps time as expected. After many units over the years I bought this one finally! Great design, easy use, 3 brightness settings, decent size for all display area. disappearing display

Not working
Kept it plugged in for the 14 day learning process. Worked great at that time, but then after week 3 the outside temp stayed at 42 degrees. Figured maybe the batteries of the outside transmitter were weak, so we changed them. Nothing changed, so we changed the batteries on the inside clock...well still no change.
