Genuine Shimano Replacement
These wear out after about 6-7 years of serious riding. Genuine replacements will get you another 6-7 years. I don't know of third party alternatives but I'm not sure I would trust anything but Shimano. You'll have to remove your bar tape and loosen and remove your levers. You then loosen and pull you brake cables. After this you can remove the original hoods and replace withe the new ones. You will need to put a little dish washing detergent to lube the new hoods so the go on easy. Afterwards, you have the look and feel of a new bike!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
