  • Does the job

After my Sony PVR died and they no longer make them I decided to give the Panasonic a go. I wanted a model that had a 1TB hard drive capacity and a reputable brand. The Panasonic fits the bill. Easy to use and set up and switches on quicker than my Sony did. The only feature missing that I liked with my Sony was the picture in picture. Recommend for sure!

  • Quite a Beast to Program, Worth it tho!

Have to read the instructions which are a bit ambiguous in places. unit locked up my TV & also the PVR itself. Reset to shop mode got it sorted then required some reprogramming, still unable to watch TV with out the PVR being on, seems the by pass to the TV is not functioning, have tried several different leads to no avail.

  • A truly sophisticated recording and playback device in High Definition

Meets all expectations. Very sophisticated once you find out all the nuances of the remote control. Good/better than a smart TV with the internet access and update feature. I now have Olympic events at my fingertips, including those Aussie swimming gold medals.

  • A reccomended product.

Panasonic is a brand well known for quality products and the DMR-HWT260GN recorder is no exception. The 1 TB hard disc allows the recording of many hours of programs and movies, a blessing in these times of self isolation due to the corona virus pandemic. It allows the recording of two programs simultaneously while watching a third.avoiding the frustration of having to choose which movie to watch when opposing channels program a good movie at the same time. Of course smart TV's have the option of catch up, but the commercial channels don't include movies and non include sporting matches. . . .

  • Easy to use

Very easy to set up. Easy to navigate after few trial and errors. Instruction booklet far too complicated to use but can figure most stuff out yourself.

  • No playing from USB while recording onto HDD

Really disappointed that when watching something via a USB and it is scheduled to record something it just stops the USB Pretty backward if it can;t record on the internal drive while playing from an external drive
