The Safe choice for new and experienced skaters
Bones Reds are well known by any seasoned skater. With good reason. They are made to spin freely and without any compromise. There are no drawbacks since the price point is not ridiculous for what you're paying for. I've tried different brands and types over the years and for the price you pay for Bones Reds. Nothing really comes close. It's value for money overall. it's the same design as their ceramics range except these are made in China. I'm still using a set I've had from 10 years ago. They sound crusty but they work perfectly as they should. I've only thrown them into the bearing cleaner once and that was recently. I did however buy a few extra pack's while they were on sale (RRP $30). I have also tested Bronson G3 (RRP $60) and can't really feel any difference that makes the bearings worth the price that Bronson is asking. I also purchased some bones big balls recently to try with some other wheels I bought. They are slower at low speeds compared to the reds but noticeably smoother and possibly faster at higher speeds due to less friction. (RRP $45) Overall, if you're looking for quality but don't want to pay a mint for bone's Swiss bearings. Bones Reds are a safe choice. Just make sure to keep an eye out for counterfeit bearings! Bearings look the goods
These bearings seem to be good quality but time will be the ultimate test of their worth. I cannot in all honesty give an accurate rating at this stage but can only judge by their smooth feel and appearance.
