The pump is very noisy. Just get the feeling it won't last a couple of years. Took for ever to prime, thought there was something wrong with the pump.

Hot swap to keep my pool clean and clear
This was to replace an older one of the same make and model that stopped working. I believe it was related to the impellor bearings packing up. Started getting very noisy and eventually wouldn't work. I have taken the old one to a pump supplier for repair.

Thought i was getting a more powered pump.
I had a 1hp pump and it wasnt powerful enough so went the 1.5 as recomended also by my pool guy. We conected it but no stronger than the 1hp. Rang onga and they said they dont make them as beefier as they used to. Wtf!!! So im back to when i started.

Filter/Impeller housing cracked on openi...
Filter/Impeller housing cracked on opening. Moulding of housing inferior to the onga unit it was replacing. Did not have the time to wait to have it replaced so mounted used old filter / impeller on new motor. Still compatible after 25years. Would not replace it with another Onga unit in future
