So far so good, works excellent with the Xbox One X!
So far I've had this external 8tb drive for 24 hours and I have to say my initial observations seem great. The internal 1TB was almost full. I decided to purchase this external 8 Terabyte (7.2 formatted) drive to combat the storage problem. I pushed 75% of my installed game titles on to the external drive. I have to say they do launch and run well, very surprised. I thought there might be a performance hit but I'm actually seeing the opposite, not much but it's definitely there. The icing on the cake would be IF longevity exists with this drive... At around $107 the price was excellent in my opinion, again as long as the product last...

Best size, quality and speed for the money.
Yes, there are faster hard drives out there, but none are 8TB in the $200 range. I have never had a problem with any previous smaller WD drives so I am also hoping this larger one is the same.

Comes with an activity light
Unlike some other 8TB WD external drives, the Elements model has a small activity light on the front that lets you know that it's alive and what's currently going on. The 8TB My Book model has no indicators at all.

More storage always good idea
More storage always good idea for backup and offline storage as hacking and ransom ware is a problem these days having a back up offline or encysted is the best protection you can have.
