Over all satisfied except for horizontal stripes on printed images

Yes, the Canon Pixma 920 series arrived well packed. It arrived in a timely manner. I was well pleased. It was semi easy to set up. It is the exact model of my prior printer that died suddenly. It works well with one caveat: With full tanks of ink, the printing of pictures has horizontal stripes across each page. I have no idea how to fix this issue. I have owned two previous printers in this Canon series and they did not have this problem. Letters, emails, printed print does not have this problem, thankfully, only images. So...a little disappointed

  • Top critical review

from frustration and unhappiness to success

I dislike that, like just about everything now,all the information is only on line. I have had serious issues with my internet which not only made it impossible to go on line to fix issues but also, since I had set up the printer for wireless printing, to use the printer off line. The size and weight are also a problem but it was the only printer/copier that had the features I needed for my home printer needs that was affordable. When I was finally able to talk on the phone to a live person (rather tricky to get through the menu) the tech support person was AMAZING. I had decided that I couldn't use the printer and had been preparing to return it until I talked to him. It made all the difference.

  • Great printer with many options for print, scanning, and Fax.

The printer was like a new one, although sold as used and tested. It works with LAN or connected to your computer. Separate wiring extensions are required for each setup but the one for the computer connection was missing. Fortunately I have the proper extension so did not need to ask the vender for one. Printers always take a little fiddling to set up, because the instructions Canon provided with it are very light. However, they provide a thorough manual online for reference with more specific detail about using all of the features.

  • One of the best of its class - no complaints at all

BEtter than I expected for an older printer. The Canon MX922 is a solid workhorse of a printer. I bought this asa stand in for one that needs some minor repairs . Once fixed I will have two of the performing household/small office printers ever made. The newer lower market Canons don't hold a candle to the MX922. Canon should scrap everything it put on the market the past five years and bring all the computers in this class back. It came weill packed. Slight line issue that would only really be noticeable if you were printing photographs. About every ten lines one is printed that is light or bleached out..

  • Slow but sure

This printer was fairly easy to setup. We had a secure server which required a manual setup as opposed to hold the WLS button and wait.but that was the only hitch in the setup. I think that the printer goes through a head cleaning EVERY time you print which takes a minute or two and it prints fairly slowly, but the print quality is quite good and it works with our phones and tablets. Scan works very well and image to OFF works well. I print under 100 pages per month and am very pleased with the printer.

  • Canon 922 printer

Printer works a described. But as is my practice I and put Canon brand ink cartridges in it first thing, then tried it and it won't print? After trying a number of things I was getting upset, it was doing the same thing as the one it was to replace. As a last hope I put the compatible inks back in it and it work. I couldn't believe that was the cause of my grief. So much for having to use manufactures authentic cartridges.

  • Prints text and pictures very well. Set up is an abomination!

WAY TOO complex to set up! There is no manual - - just bits and pieces of stuff on Canon's web site. If you grew up learning how to read textbooks and novels in the '50s, 60s and early 70s, instead of 140 character tweet and emojis, those bits and pieces are essentially useless. I'm a retired lawyer - - I write a 50,000 word document and call it a "brief". But my briefs start at page 1 of 8-½ x 11 paper and go straight on to the end page without having to stop after one page, get up, go to a different desk and read two or three pages, stop, get up and go to another desk, and read another few pages; and repeat this process a dozen times. That's what Canon's process is now to real with the dumbing down of public education! Does a very good job of printing text and pictures. I just hope it doesn't have the dreaded B200 error that Canon is so very fond of putting into its printers. And of course, like all the printing manufacturers of ink-jet printers, it's really just a come-on to make you buy more and more over priced print cartridges. King Gillette, who invented this type of sales gimmick would be proud.

  • Here's Hoping

Bought this product based on reviews about ink usage and cost of replacement cartridges. Have just installed (easy process) and have only used a few times. So haven't used any ink to this point. Pros easy to install, cheap ink replacement and large capacity paper try. Cons takes awhile to print when you first send a report to it, like it's searching where to start, much longer then my last printer.

  • Beautiful, fast printer

It's fast, it prints beautifully, and you can get very inexpensive third party cartridges for it. When copying or scanning, it will automatically scan both sides of a two-sided original placed in the document feeder. Very handy feature when you need it.

  • Noisy. Slow to print.

The printer is bulky but is pretty easy to set up and has good print quality. It has all the bells and whistles. From duplex printing and scanning to printing CD/DVD/BD disks. But it is noisy. It beeps and whirrs for about a minute before it spits out the first page. That happens if the printer is not used very frequently. Or, sometimes, when you just printed something! This is not a good printer if you occasionally print something. I have to remember to print something in color every day or it will need to have a nozzle clean done before an actual print job. Waste of expensive ink and paper. Not to mention time. Bottom line is...good printer with good paper handling and print quality for medium to high volume use. Not so good for the occasional print/copy/scan.
