A great little camera.
My fourth Nikon Coolpix. Bought the first down the street at Walmart on sale $50. This fourth one is the same model as the third, which got spots on the image [lots of outdoor pics, and I dropped it]. I liked this model and found this exact replacement. Nikon provides transfer and editing software on their website, for free download. I use this extensively. I cable the camera to the PC USB input, where I name and number the batch. I adjust sharpness, color, lighting, crop in ViewNX-i. I publish a dozen pictures every couple days to facebook. The camera stabilization helps me while using zoom and video. I'm kinda shaky otherwise. The A300 has rechargable battery that recharges while plugged in to download the pictures. I let it lay there while I edit. {note: kitten picture detail taken with zoom at fifty feet}

It is lightweight, but features don't work.
To have been advertised as fully refurbished, this is a piece of junk. Sometimes when You hit the shutter button, it takes a picture, sometimes it doesn't. If there is a picture You want to delete, good luck. Clearing unwanted pictures is not going to happen. I would not recommend this junk camera to anyone. For the price, expected much better.

great camera
I have one of the earlier coolpix's and always loved the really great resolution. However this new one has not only much greater resolution but is much easier to set up and the set button on the top makes it much easier to create the picture i.e., don't have to search for the old location as sometimes instead of creating a picture I would turn the unit off. Great camera.....

Good as a backup camera, especially for travel.
As an artist, I document what I see on a daily basis. I carry one of my 3 Coolpix cameras at all times. The image quality is excellent, and the camera is small (fits in your pocket). So if it is stolen, or lost, or dropped it is not a complete catastrophe.
