Better then the rest.
Yes this is chinese, but Xiaomi is no ordaniry company. This Mi Robot Vacum is a life saver (well hayfever saver). Setting up the vac was a bit of a challange (you only have to do it once), as all instruction on the app and in the manuals are in mandrin. Taking the language barrier in to consideration it was very fast and once it is set up you can change the language to English. We run the vac every day while we are at work and sends me a notification when it starts and finishes. I suffer from really bad hayfever all year round and it has helped no end, I can finally breath. Some tips for using this Vac. 1. Use google translate app on another phone, the live translate feature helps to read the instructions. 2. When installing the app make sure to set it up as main land china (to enable all the features) then change the time zone to suit.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The best robot vacuum I've tried and half the price of competing, poorer performing models
Easily the best robot vacuum I've used. I previously had two iRoomba 540 vacuums upstairs and downstairs which would noisily bang into walls and furniture and regularly miss dirt on the floor. The Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum on the other hand is quieter and cleans every square inch of the floor in an easy to understand an intelligent pattern. It shows where it has cleaned and is easy to locate looking at the map on your phone if it got stuck and didn't make it home. To top it off it's about half the price of the Roomba! Probably the only slight irritation is that the catchment for dirt is smaller though that a small gripe indeed considering it's other strengths. This thing changed my opinion about robots.
We replaced another robot vacuum that we got from Aldi, a little cheaper than this one, but I was expecting something similar. The Aldi one would constantly get stuck, and was a pain to clean and empty. Couldn't find it's way back to charge. So I wasn't expecting much. This thing is a REVELATION. It has never gotten stuck in the week I've been using it. Returns to it's charger without fail. The app is easy to use, and works with my Google assistant. Short version: My floors are always clean, and all I do is empty a bin every day. Works great on carpet as well. Almost as good as our power head vacuum cleaner.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Best thing since Slice Bread :)
As title suggests, this is really best thing since slice bread. I was always hesitant to buy one(have trust issues). after reading reviews and good feedback, i mustered some courage and went ahead with sale without knowing that my life was going to be changed forever. When i used it for first time, i was simply amazed with intelligence built in it, felt like it has life in it and has mind of its own. All the sci-fi movies i have seen about robots taking over world were flashing back in my mind and i was thrilled that they could really come true one day if they keep building robots like this. It really did amazing job and cleaned house nicely. All the corners, under bed, under tables spaces which are hard to reach were cleaned spot on. i was scared with amount of dust i found in its belly. you always think your house is clean unless someone can prove to you otherwise. This little monster ate it all. if only i could time travel and go back in time taking this little monster with me to clean my house since i bought it ages ago. highly recommended product. only problem is it can't climb steps and stairs. but i am convinced they will add this feature in future.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great value for money
Absolutely love it. Our 3yr old Roomba just died and we have been researching alternatives and so glad we found this one. Easy to use, the app is great and the mapping is accurate. Very methodical in its movements. The only cons are that it doesn’t save the map of the house and remaps each clean and it gets tangled in power leads which our previous robot vacuum never did - it used to just push them aside. An awesome device
I did not believe that these devices would really be that good, but given the price, I thought I would give it a go. I was pleasantly surprised. The Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum Cleaner has been a reliable and efficient device. I have it running around downstairs at my house nightly on quiet mode. It runs for about 90 mins to do all of it. We don't notice it upstairs so it does not disrupt our sleep. When I walk downstairs in the morning, the floor is spotless. All the dog hair gone, all the dust gone and the vacuum is back on the docking station, all charged up, ready for the next night. It cleans the carpets, tiles and rugs that are on the tiles. I have already ordered the consumable spare parts (main brush, outrigger brush and air filter) to put in the cupboard, as I don't want to be without the machine. Well worth the $$. The free Android/iOS (I have Android) application is also great. Gives a map of the path that was taken, allows remote control, firmware updates, voice changes (there is an English voice) scheduling timer based cleans and much more. Great value for money and excellent performance!
I am honestly not a fan of 'Chinese' made products and I actively try to avoid them and happily pay a premium. However my software engineer son had highly recommended this unit, hence I bought one and I an thoroughly impressed so far. It really appears to be great value for money, especially when you compare its price and performance with other upmarket brands. Smart and effective
Using the vacuum cleaner for a few weeks now and it works great. You can download an app (in English), easy to setup and manage. The robot is reasonably smart and, as long as you take some precautions (protect stairs, for example), it is very autonomous and cleans all types of floors, including carpet. Love this little machine!
Ordered this after reading Choice review and always loved the Xiaomi brand products. As usual for Xiaomi design is modern and well packaged, instruction simple but sufficient, the app works perfectly, cleaned really well especially on hard floors, does need to get wires and cables out of the way but that's the norm for all robot vacuum cleaners.
