Cheap and cheerful!
This is a cheap plastic computer with a cheap screen that looks faded if looked at sideways. but it will work well for school age child or an adult who doesn't need to do very complicated things or have a chic laptop forged in sleek aluminium. A Chromebook does all the things that say a 12 year old will need from a laptop and has enough power. No IPS screen.
It's a chromebook and it's was released in the start of the year so it will have the auto updates till June 2025 so it's better than buying one that's been out a few years.
