Very high quality projector, doing a better job than most 4K projectors out there. Very low input lag (around 20ms on Fast mode), therefore can also be used for gaming. Allows for horizontal keystone, therefore can project on a side angle.
I replaced an Epson 3200. Which had a great picture. The new Epson 5700 is bright and colourful but can’t display live tv very well. The picture jumps and is blurry on fast motion. . My old epson did handle this. It has a feature called frame interpretation where it can add frames it thinks are missing. I tried every setting but still no good. I looked at Optoma but it was un watchable.
epson not recommended anymore. Thought I got a brand name but they have changed something.
The 5700 has wifi and smart tv function. This however always defaults to wifi even if you have hdmi cable connected. And if you do connect hdmi you have to remove the back panel to access the plug. But then you can’t put the panel back on. No allowance for the HDMI lead
Easy for seniors to set up, Plug in, and set the Google apps so a breeze for the younger person.
Its light and compact enough to sit on the coffee table and move when toddlers around
I'm enjoying the projector, clear bright LED, it replaces my old Epson projector and the limits of the old type bulbs are now gone.
