Works as intended, Zelda is great. Very premium feel, a bit overpriced.

Good idea. Mad implementation
Swich mostly feels well made. But the side grips are terrible both on and off the switch. The are small uncomfortable and leave significant indentation marks on fingers due to overly solid tiny buttons with insufficent travel. The current games library is abysmally tiny as of july 2017 with the over priced accessories. All of this makes the wii u a better buy at the moment, unless you absolutly need portability.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Unergonomic: focused more on the games than the user
I'm talking about the Joy-con particularly. My analogue sticks, whilst usable, are too small for any fine control and the left one in particular feels rather loose and rough when inputting directions. Nintendo's warranty service told me that it wasn't defective. Other than that they work surprisingly well as an input device, although why they compromised the feel in your hand so much is beyond me. Now for the console's menu screens and display. The minimum brightness is too bright. The interface is easy to navigate and I love how quick it is to suspend and resume the games. Also I've shorted the power twice when I took the power cable from out of the dock and inserted it directly into the console for handheld mode. Nothing was damaged though. This is a console that focuses on the game and Nintendo makes the best games. I'm only 20 hrs into Zelda and haven't faced a boss yet, but the Switch has already paid for itself.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Portable and Fast
Purchased Switch alongside zelda BOTW and the system is perfect. Very fast navigation and sleep mode works like a charm, brings you back where you left off instantly. Build quality surprised me it feels very premium particularly the joycons. Never had an issue with the controller not syncing and havent experienced my unit being scratched by the dock. Its a promising console and the upcoming games are great. This will change the gaming industry when it comes to portability and power.
