I still have me 1st Gen echo that I moved to my down stairs office. I have to say that the 2nd gen echo sounds great slightly better then the 1st gen. The sound is deeper and clear. I will install compatible lights and devotions continue me automation process of my home. Me Nest thermostat is on time withe echo 2nd gen as well as my Vivint alarm system.
